It should be emphasized that it is not practice that makes perfect, but PERFECT PRACTICE that makes perfect.

i agree, it's tha truth. but it requires self discipline. thanks!
  • All great things take SELF - discipline. That's why they're so difficult and valuable. Thanks for commenting!

I like to use the term, "PERFECT" "CONSTRUCTIVE" PRACTICE" " IS THE ROUTE TO PERFECT PLAY"
If those sincerely wanting to be the best that their mental and physical capabilities will allow them to be the above [10] steps are excellent advice, "TAKE IMMEDIATE POSITIVE ACTION."
    Success to all.

  • Great thought. Just remove 'Perfect' and think of personal excellence.

One is motivated by personal growth and improvement, the other by an unattainable end result. Can be purely semantics - but the shift in thinking has really helped out some of my pro guys.

"Take Immediate positive action." - Couldn't have said it better myself.

    Thanks Don!

    Practice is right.
But a good programme is more important.
If you keep praticing the wrong thing, you won't be a better player.
Only a good Practice makes Perfect more perfect!!!
  • You're right. You still need a great plan and you're practicing the 'right' skills. But I'll still take someone who has the discipline of practicing the 'wrong' thing over someone who hasn't practiced but has a great plan.

A person that has flexed the muscle of practice can be turned around quickly. But lazy slothful behavior is a mental resistance that is much harder to turn around.

    Action means everything!

    Practice makes perfect

I think that step 9 is where I am at right know :D Thanx to the champions challenge I've implemented visualisation and the other strategies into my daily life. It still takes some getting used to, but it's all worth it in the end. So keep practicing - it'll never be 100% perfect cause man is never content and continously out to improve. It may be good in the eyes of those around you, but we will never reach the point of perfection because we simply wont settle for it : ) To be prepared is half the battle and on game day the difference between the winner and the loser will be the mental advantage the winner had at the start of the race. Practice and trust in your abilities.

    greets,
    Jos
  • Geez Jos you've come a long way! Soon you'll be running this company! Keep it up.
